Part-time Therapeutic Horseback Riding Instructor

Lovelane is seeking a dynamic and collaborative instructor to join our team!  This position is part-time with flexible hours and offers a competitive salary.

Requirements and Skills Needed:

  • A current Massachusetts Riding Instructor License
  • PATH International Certification (Lovelane is open to training the right candidate to attain this certification)​
  • Certified in CPR and First Aid
  • PT/OT/SLP preferred, but not required
  • Must be familiar with therapeutic programming and the special needs population
  • Must have experience with horses, be a strong rider and knowledgeable of horse behavior
  • Possess a desire for and strong belief in Lovelane’s core values: positivity, collaboration, goodwill, respect, compassion, excellence and fun
  • Two professional references are required

Barn/Program Internships

Lovelane is seeking dynamic and highly motivated interns to join our team! We offer meaningful internships with our Barn and Program teams. Interns are required to make a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week for at least eight weeks. These are unpaid internship opportunities.

Lovelane’s interns work directly with Barn and Program staff on a variety of daily tasks and projects, including:

  • Assisting with program delivery such as, creation of lesson games, design of merchandise, set up and break down of lessons, office support
  • Barn chores, such as mucking stalls, sweeping, cleaning and filling water buckets
  • Interacting and working directly with students
  • For interns with horse experience, duties may include grooming and tacking horses, feeding horses, leading and sidewalking in lessons
