As a working farm, Lovelane was in need of a truck for farm work, for pulling our horse trailer and for use for special events. Amelia Peabody Charitable Fund understood our needs and contributed to the purchase of our new (used!) Chevy Silverado.
Lovelane requires rock stars for horses. These program companions must be athletic to provide a balanced gait, calm, steady and friendly and have good manners in the barn. If a child has vocalizations or muscle spasms, the horse cannot react.
The purchase of horses is challenging due to the importance of our safe, reliable lessons. Amelia Peabody Charitable Fund has granted Lovelane $30,000 for the purchase of horses for our program. This will allow us more flexibility in the horses we have to choose from as well as allow us to look at younger horses which we hope will have a long, healthy life in our program.
Farm needs are unique and we are grateful to partner with the Amelia Peabody Charitable Fund who understands the these important requests that will help Lovelane continue to provide high quality, safe lessons at the same time, continue to efficiently operate our working farm. Lovelane is deeply grateful.
