Why We Run!

Susan McDaniel, an avid athlete, actress, and equestrian, was a student at Lovelane throughout her two-year battle with cancer. Sadly, Susan passed away in 2014 at age 10. Most inspiring, was Susan’s perseverance in defiantly living life. When surgery took the coordination in her right hand, she learned to write with her left. When treatments left her too exhausted to ride, she took joy in stable chores and teaching other students. Her family remains involved with Lovelane and spearheads the Susan McDaniel Run for Lovelane in her memory. The Run, which carries on Susan’s spirit, ensures that Lovelane continues to be able to provide students beneficial therapy, disguising hard work and professional therapy in an environment of fun, enthusiasm, and love.
