Abigail has been riding and caring for horses since the age of seven, beginning in the hunt seat world and showing with her IHSA team in college before transitioning to dressage. She is passionate about the therapeutic benefit of learning to communicate with a horse. As a member of the staff at Lovelane, Abigail strives to create a safe and gentle environment for students to form a deep bond with their horse and feel empowered by partnering with a sensitive animal.
Abigail holds a BA in Japanese Studies from Earlham College and a MA in Asian Studies from Georgetown University, though her passion for horses and teaching ultimately steered her into a career in therapeutic riding. Abigail is a PATH Certified Therapeutic Horseback Riding Instructor. Before joining the team at Lovelane, she served as the Barn Manager and an Instructor for a PATH center in Northern Virginia. Now, she is excited to be part of Lovelane both working as an instructor and as our Program Coordinator.
Outside of Lovelane, Abigail enjoys riding her horse Maggie, running and hiking with her dog, and exploring restaurants and cafes around her home in Cambridge.
